Summer’s final stretch is here, and this weekend packs in plenty. Prehistoric Fight Night takes over the Natural History Museum Friday evening, the Dodgers host the Pittsburgh Pirates at Uniqlo Field, Just Like Heaven brings indie music royalty to the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, and Nisei Week closes out in Little Tokyo on Sunday. LA Dodgers host the Pittsburgh Pirates for a weekend series with bobbleheads, and Kids Run the Bases at Uniqlo Field.
The Dodgers welcome the Pittsburgh Pirates for a home series at Uniqlo Field in Elysian Park. Friday night features a Luka Doncic bobblehead giveaway, Saturday afternoon brings a Shohei Ohtani Starter Series bobblehead, and Sunday closes with Kids Run the Bases Day.

VinylCon returns to California Market Center with 100+ dealers and a weekend of crate digging.
VinylCon is back at the California Market Center in downtown Los Angeles for two days of vinyl, CDs, cassettes, and music memorabilia spread across more than 100 dealers stocked with cross-genre selections. Whether you are hunting for a rare pressing or just browsing, this is the weekend for it.

Award-winning graphic novelist, animator and science communicator Ted Rechlin of Rextooth Studios goes head-to-head with Natural History Museum experts Friday evening to crown the toughest champions of each prehistoric era. It’s part science showdown, part spectacle — and entirely worth the trip to Exposition Park.

Jazz at LACMA’s Friday evening series continues with 6 Beats. It’s a free outdoor concert on the Wilshire corridor — one of the city’s great warm-weather traditions.

KCRW Summer Nights and Taste of Downtown Long Beach bring free music and food to Pine Avenue
KCRW Summer Nights teams up with the Downtown Long Beach Alliance Saturday for a free, all-ages evening of music and community at Pine and Promenade. KCRW DJs Nassir Nassirzadeh and Raul Campos keep the dance floor going as the sun sets over downtown Long Beach.

Just Like Heaven brings The Strokes, LCD Soundsystem and Chromeo to Brookside at the Rose Bowl
Indie fest Just Like Heaven takes over Brookside at the Rose Bowl Saturday with one of the stronger lineups of the summer. The Strokes, LCD Soundsystem, Chromeo, The Rapture and Pixel Grip are among the acts set to perform at the iconic Pasadena venue.

Go Metro: Take the C or K Line to LAX/Metro Transit Center Station and connect to the free shuttle at Bus Bay 8.
Return shuttles begin at the start of the fourth quarter and run for 90 minutes after the game ends.
Sunday, August 23
Nisei Week Closing Celebration brings food, games and live entertainment to Little Tokyo.
Nisei Week wraps up Sunday at the Japanese American Cultural and Community Center plaza in Little Tokyo with a family-friendly closing celebration featuring food, games, booths and live entertainment.
