After warming up for the season against the Halos on Monday, the Dodgers officially begin their quest for a three-peat on Opening Day on Thursday against NL West rival, the Arizona Diamondbacks.
As usual, the Dodger Stadium Express bus will run for every game at the ballpark this season starting on Monday and Tuesday for the exhibition games against the Angels. The Dodger bus will then resume service on Thursday, March 26, for Opening Day and then for every game through the regular season, playoffs and World Series 🧢🏆.
The bus is FREE to those with a game ticket and is a great way to skip traffic and parking hassles. Friendly reminder: parking at the stadium begins at $40 per game this season. Crowds are big for pretty much every game now due to the Dodgers most triumphant play — try the bus! You might dig it!
Dodger Stadium Express from Union Station
•Union Station service will continue to operate out of Union Station West — i.e. board on the front side of the station facing Alameda Street. Follow the signs to the boarding area. It’s the same location as last season.
•Buses will run every five to 10 minutes starting three hours before game time through the end of the 2nd inning for all games.
•Buses will drop off riders before the game and pick up riders after the game at the same stop behind center field.
•Return service ends one hour after the final out or 30 minutes after post-game events.
•Union Station is easy to reach via the Metro A, B and D Line trains, the J Line bus, many local buses. Union Station is also the local hub for Metrolink regional rail and Amtrak.
•Parking is available at Union Station with a daily rate of $8. Please note that parking sometimes fills for big games — i.e. Opening Day and the big rivalry games such as when the Giants and Padres visit.
Dodger Stadium Express from the South Bay
•Board at any of these stations: Slauson, Manchester, Harbor Freeway, Rosecrans, or Harbor Gateway Transit Center (Bay 9).
•Buses run every 30 minutes starting three hours before game time, with the last bus leaving Harbor Gateway Transit Center at game time.
•Buses will drop off riders behind right field. Service back to the South Bay will pick up at the same location after the game.
•Return service begins after the end of the 7th inning, with the last bus departing one hour after the final out or 30 minutes after a post-game event.
•Free parking is available at Harbor Gateway, Rosecrans, Harbor Freeway, Manchester and Slauson stations on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that parking at Harbor Gateway Transit Center is subject to a $3 daily for Sunday games during the NFL season.
Other things to know
•One change from last season: buses will not stop at the old Top Deck stop in 2026.
•The Dodger Stadium Express is free, but regular fares apply for other Metro buses and trains. Regular adult fare is $1.75 one-way or $3.50 round-trip.
•Two children, ages 6 and under, can ride free with each paying adult.
•To ride Metro, you can pay fare with a digital TAP card on your smartphone or a plastic TAP card to board trains and buses. For plastic cards, TAP vending machines are located at all Metro Rail and Busway stations. NOTE: one TAP card can only be used once per person.
•To plan a transit trip, you can use Google Maps, Apple Maps, the Transit or Moovit apps or the trip planner on metro.net
•Many Metro Rail and Busway stations have free or paid parking if you’re taking transit to a Dodger Stadium Express stop. See the map below and click here for a list of stations and more info.
•There is usually a line to board buses after the game — especially close games when fans leave at the same time. We do our best to keep lines moving and we appreciate your patience.

In the past I’ve looked into the possibility of using Metrolink from the SC Valley. At that time the last train out of Union Station left at around 9:30pm, which is completely impractical for night games. I doubt it’s much different for Metrolink going in other directions. Why can’t one train be scheduled well after the likely time a 9 inning game ends factoring in the bus ride from the Stadium?
I am writing to formally complain about the unacceptable Dodger Express shuttle service I experienced on 03/28/2026.
Summary of incident
Date: 03/28/2026
Route/service: Dodger Express (Harbor Station to Dodger Stadium)
Arrival at Harbor Station: ~3:00 PM
Wait time: More than 1.5 hours for a shuttle
Arrival at Dodger Stadium: ~5:40 PM
Impact: Significant delay, stress, missed plans; severe overcrowding and long boarding delays when shuttles arrived
Background/concerns
I understand shuttles are intended to run approximately every 30 minutes, but service that requires riders to wait over 90 minutes is unacceptable.
The long delay and overcrowding indicate insufficient capacity for demand that day.
Lack of on-site staff or real-time communication (ETAs, updates) worsened the situation.
Requested remedies
A clear explanation of the cause(s) of the delay on 03/28/2026.
Specific steps MTA will take to prevent reoccurrence (e.g., increasing shuttle frequency or standby buses during peak/demand events, improved real-time communication, on-site staff).
