July has arrived, marking the halfway point of the year. It also brings a weekend full of exciting events. The 4th of July is here, and we’re celebrating America’s 250th anniversary. FIFA World Cup™ Events

Los Angeles World Cup 26 Fan Zone at LA County’s Earvin “Magic” Johnson Park
On July 4–5, 2026, the magic of the World Cup comes to South LA with a two-day FREE watch party at LA County Earvin “Magic” Johnson Park — featuring live music, food trucks, a community marketplace, resources, and family fun.

Anime Expo comes to the L.A. Convention Center this weekend
The Anime Expo returns to the L.A. Convention Center this weekend. It is one of the biggest anime events in Southern California. The event brings together anime lovers around the world, fandom and culture.

July Fourth Fireworks Spectacular with The Beach Boys
The Beach Boys, with special guest John Stamos, celebrate America’s 250th birthday at Hollywood Bowl on July 2 – 4. They’ll be joined by the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra for a set that includes the band’s greatest hits, as well as a 60th anniversary tribute to fan favorite album Pet Sounds. Al three concerts will include a fireworks show.

America’s 250 Celebration at the L.A. Coliseum
Join the celebration of America’s 250th anniversary in Los Angeles with Chris Stapleton, The Smashing Pumpkins, Chaka Khan, and Anthony Ramos at “America’s Block Party benefiting Giving 4th.” Queen Latifah will host the event live at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

Gloria Molina Grand Park Summer Block Party
The West Coast’s largest free 4th of July celebration is back! Join us in the heart of DTLA for a lively day filled with music, art, and community. Enjoy a stunning drone show, interactive art, live music from acclaimed trumpet player Tatiana Tate and the Afro-Latin band L.A. Tropifunk Collective, dance performances by Kaimera, and DJ sets from Anthony Valadez and Pangea Sound.

It’s shaping up to be a spectacular Independence Day weekend across Southern California. A gradual warming trend is taking hold as high pressure builds and the marine layer thins out, delivering plenty of sunshine and above-comfortable temperatures right in time for holiday celebrations.
Friday gets the weekend started on a warm note with highs near 80 and mostly sunny skies. Saturday — the Fourth of July — is looking like a beautiful day to watch fireworks. Expect morning clouds to burn off by midday, giving way to mostly sunny skies and highs in the upper 70s. A great night to spread out the blanket and enjoy the show.
Sunday turns up the heat a notch, shaping up as the warmest day of the weekend with highs climbing into the low 80s for most valley and inland areas under sunny skies. The warmth carries right into next week as high pressure firms up its grip on the region. Valley temperatures are expected to reach the 80s and low 90s through midweek, with coastal areas potentially warming to near or just above normal by Wednesday or Thursday.
