Have you ever dreamed of creating public artworks for future Metro stations? If so, keep reading! We’re delighted to invite visual artists based in Los Angeles County to submit qualifications for opportunities to design two-dimensional (2D) artworks for future stations included in the East San Fernando Valley (ESFV) Light Rail Transit Project and the G Line Improvements Project, both serving the East San Fernando Valley.
The ESFV Project, a 6.7-mile street-level route that begins at Van Nuys station and follows Van Nuys Boulevard north to a future station at Van Nuys/San Fernando is currently undergoing utility work. When complete, it will include 11 new light rail stations. The G Line Improvements Project, which broke ground this past April, will upgrade the existing G Line and build anew aerial station to replace the at-grade Van Nuys Station that will intersect with the future East San Fernando Valley Light Rail Transit Project.
