Metro Art’s Through the Eyes of Artists poster series is celebrating its 20th year! For this commemoration, 20 posters from our archive will be on display on our buses in the coming months. You can also get them for free at Customer Service Centers while supplies last — details below.
In the tradition of colorful travel destination posters, the artworks are part of an award-winning series by local artists that illustrate the unique places accessible by Metro across L.A. County.
The 20 artworks are split into four releases — each with five posters.
The first release of posters includes:
- East L.A. by Artemio Rodríguez, 2003
- Watts by Patricia Fernández, 2006
- Van Nuys by Ronald J. Llanos, 2005
- Whittier by Jane Gillespie Pryor, 2011
- Glendale by Edith Waddell, 2015
Where can I get a poster?
A limited number of posters are available at Metro Customer Centers. Pick one up for free while supplies last:

As part of the Through the Eyes of Artists anniversary, 12 of the 63 artworks are presented in an exhibition, Journeys Continued…, installed in the Union Station Passageway Art Gallery.
