Service alert: upcoming work on overhead wires on the C Line between Norwalk and Willowbrook/Rosa Parks Station Feb. 26 to March 11 

Beginning Thursday, Feb. 26 through March 11, Metro will be continuing our work to replace the overhead power wire system that delivers power to C Line trains. 

The C Line first opened in 1995 and this work is necessary to keep the line’s infrastructure operating safely and reliably in the future. Overhead power lines are, of course, subject to weather 24/7/365 and the thousands of trains the wires power each year. 

What riders should expect 

• During this time, a C Line shuttle train will run every 20 minutes between Norwalk, Lakewood Blvd., Lynwood and Willowbrook/Rosa Parks stations from opening through 9 p.m. each day. 

• Riders can transfer to/from the shuttle train to regular C Line trains at Willowbrook/Rosa Parks Station. We will schedule trains to minimize transfer times.  

• The C Line will operate a 10-minute schedule between Willowbrook/Rosa Parks Station and the LAX/Metro Transit Center during this work.  

• After 9 p.m. trains will run end-to-end between Norwalk and LAX/Metro Transit Center on the C Line as they usually do. 

Metro Ambassadors will be available at stations to help riders, and riders will see signage, alerts and announcements during the work.
