As we work to complete the LAX/Metro Transit Center station, we have some track and overhead wire work that remains to be done near the new building.
To accommodate that work, we’re adjusting schedules for the C and K Lines beginning with the start of service this Sunday, January 5. The adjusted schedules will have trains running every 12 minutes most of each day instead of the usual every 10 minutes.
Here are the adjusted timetables: C Line and K Line.
We’ll update riders on the progress of the work near the end of January. Our goal is to get back to regular schedules as soon as we can get the work done.
As far as the LAX/Metro Transit Center, we don’t have an opening date yet — we’ll let you know when we do!
When the new station opens, C Line trains will run between Norwalk and the LAX/MTC and K Line trains will run between Expo/Crenshaw and Redondo Beach. The temporary bus shuttle between Westchester/Veterans, Aviation/Century and Aviation/LAX stations will cease at that time.

Let’s hope that the LAX Airport/Metro Transit Center Station is going to open on or after January 31, 2025, so I can have a chance to do some volunteer work for the 2025 Men’s Cornerstone Retreat at St. Monica’s Catholic Community Feb. 7 and 8, 2025. That way, I would spend a couple of nights over there at a bedroom in the Spirituality Center this year. Why? Because I don’t want to go back-and-fourth on February 8 and 9, 2025. Thank you for your generosity.

Two minutes won’t make a difference. I don’t even rely on schedules anymore. Metro trains pretty much run when they feel like it. I’ve seen ‘train bunching’ where one train is like 3-4 minutes behind the other. Other times its 20-25 minutes wait, even in peak hours. And anytime you’ve waited that long expect a crowded train. The arrival time information on the web page is best.
