As part of our usual twice-yearly service updates, Metro is making changes to some bus and rail schedules to improve reliability for riders.
Please visit metro.net/mybus for updated bus schedules. New rail schedules will be posted at: https://www.metro.net/riding/schedules-2/
Improved reliability on buses
We’re adjusting schedules on multiple lines to better match actual travel times and improve connections. This helps reduce the amount of time riders must wait for buses.
The changes are:
Weekday, Saturday, Sunday: Lines 51, 53, 60, 62, 66, 134, 155, 161, 222, 460, 662, 761, J Line (910/950)
Weekday & Saturday: Lines 2, 10/48, 28, 33, 78, 204, 217, 260/261, 265, 266, 487/489
Saturday & Sunday: Lines 110, 125, 246, 268, 287
Weekday Only: Lines 35/38, 70, 102, 105, 117, 150, 152, 166, 167, 233, 240, 242/243, 602, 665
Saturday Only: Lines 30, 45, 76, 81, 754
Sunday Only: Lines 108, 115, 206
Adjusted Service Levels for buses
To better serve riders and meet demand, the following lines will have an additional or reduction in trips on weekdays and/or weekends. In most cases, it’s one or two trips being added or subtracted.
Service hours saved are used to improve service with added trips and more reliable service on various bus lines. In other words, we’re redistributing some service to match ridership.
Bus lines with additional trips
Line 48 – Weekday: Three trips added, including two southbound between 6:30am and 7:30am and one northbound from San Pedro / Manchester at 8:45am/
Line 166 – Weekday: One eastbound trip added in the 2pm period.
Line 244 – Weekday: One morning trip on school days only to accommodate a high number of Chatsworth High School students.
Line 489 – Weekday: One eastbound trip added in the 6pm period
J Line (910) – Saturday & Sunday: One trip added northbound at 11:40am
Bus lines with reduced trips
Line 2 – Weekday: One eastbound trip in the 5am period.
Line 28 – Weekday: One eastbound trip in the 9am period and one westbound trip in the 6pm period.
Line 51 – Weekday: Reduction in trips due to frequency change in both directions during the morning and afternoon peak periods. The frequency is being adjusted from every 5.5 minutes to every 7.5 minutes in line with ridership levels.
Line 204 – Weekday: Minus two trips (6pm northbound & 7pm southbound). Saturday: minus one trip 6pm northbound
Route Adjustments and Stop Changes
We’re making changes to resolve impacts to services from construction projects.
Line 162 (North Hollywood – Woodland Hills) — The westbound terminal loop will be rerouted due to anticipated traffic impacts from a new fast‑food restaurant opening in the area. Buses will operate the regular route via Fallbrook Av and Burbank Bl, then continue left on Ventura Blvd, right on Ponce Ave., right on Del Valle Street and right on Fallbrook Ave. to the layover zone.
Rail Service Changes
A Line: Schedules will be updated to improve on-time performance and allow sufficient time for cleaning.
B/D Line: Minor adjustments are being made to departure times after 9pm on weekdays and weekends, with last trips from Wilshire/La Cienega Station (D Line) and Union Station (B & D Lines) departing one minute later.
C Line: To improve access to LAX, the last two westbound trips will be extended to LAX/Metro Transit Center instead of terminating at Aviation/Century Station on weekdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
K Line: Weekday schedules will be slightly adjusted to improve on‑time performance.
