Summer of Salsa
The LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes Summer of Salsa series continues this Friday with Latin music group Gabrielito y La Verdad. You will want to wear comfy shoes for this! It’s going to be a night for lots of dancing, including free salsa dance classes from 6 to 7 p.m.

Go Metro: Take the A, B or E Line to Los Angeles Union Station, or take the Metro J Line bus and a number of local bus lines at Union Station.

Lost in Dreams Festival
The dreamland-inspired music and arts festival, Lost in Dreams, will take over L.A. Historic State Park this weekend. In addition to the high-energy dance music and K-pop lineup of artist performances, the event will offer an ethereal show of light and color displays.

Off the 405 Summer Nights at the Getty Center
The Getty Center’s Off the 405 is an annual free outdoor summer concert series. Cutting-edge bands and music artists share their eclectic sounds throughout the summer. This Saturday, DJ Stella Mozgawa will set the vibe before Madi Diaz takes to the stage with her special style of folk music.

DC United versus LA Galaxy
Come out and cheer for LA Galaxy when they face DC United at Dignity Health Sports Park. The odds are in our favor but anything can happen.
Go Metro: Take the Metro J Line bus to the Harbor Gateway Transit Center or the A Line train to the Del Amo Station to connect to the free Galaxy Express, which provides non-stop shuttle rides to and from Dignity Health Sports Park for every LA Galaxy home match. The Galaxy Express begins service 90 minutes before kickoff, operating approximately every 10 minutes and running through the match’s 15th minute. Return trips will begin after the game and will run for 45 minutes.
FC Dallas versus LAFC Soccer
The Black and Gold are facing their Texan rivals at BMO Stadium this weekend in what promises to be an exciting match. Don’t miss it!

The Great Elephant Migration
A giant herd of 100 life-sized elephants has arrived in Beverly Hills in a public art instillation stretching across four blocks of Beverly Gardens Park. Each sculpture was made from invasive lantana plant material by artisans from India’s Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve and modeled after real elephants. The art-meets-conservation display arrives in L.A. after a 5,000-mile journey across the U.S. that began on the East Coast and moved to several cities before arriving here in our backyard.

AVP Pro Beach Volleyball at the Intuit Dome
The Association of Volleyball Professionals is the biggest and longest-running professional beach volleyball tour in the country, and the tournament is coming to the City of Angels this weekend, with eight mens and womens matchups to watch.
Go Metro: Connect to Intuit Dome’s free shuttle service from several Metro stations around L.A. County (these stations also have parking). Take the A, B or J Line to Union Station; the J Line to El Monte Station or Harbor Gateway Transit Center; or the E Line to Expo/Sepulveda to connect to the shuttle. Use the Intuit Dome app to reserve your seats on the shuttle.
Lotus Festival
We’re ready for one of LA’s favorite summer traditions, the Lotus Festival! This two-day celebration brings together cultures, community, delicious food and summer fun around Echo Park Lake and its beautiful blooming lotus flowers. Come for the exciting dragon boat races and stay for live music and dance performances celebrating the artistry of Asian and Pacific Islander communities.

Belly Laughs Comedy and Food Festival
This first-ever festival of its kind will celebrate Asian American culture in L.A. with hilarious comedy and delicious eats from MAMA’s Nightmarket. The comic lineup includes Kumail Nanjiani, Margaret Cho, Bobby Lee, Zarna Garg and Joel Kim Booster, with Hasan Minhaj and friends headlining both nights at L.A. Live in downtown L.A. Doors open at 3 p.m. both days.
Go Metro: Take the A or E Line to Pico Station or the A, B or E Line to 7th Street/Metro Center Station, which are both about three blocks from L.A. Live in downtown L.A. The Metro J Line bus, as well as other local bus routes, also stop near L.A. Live.
