Have a totally rad summer at Ivy Station’s throwback summer party this weekend, which will take place adjacent to the Metro Culver City Station. Come for the outdoor night market with local vendors, food trucks, craft beer, and lawn games as the DJ spins a set of nostalgic summer jams.

KCRW Summer Nights with Wende Museum
This weekend’s edition of KCRW Summer Nights will feature vibey music sets from DJs Chris Douridas and Francesca Harding, plus conversation and learning inspired by the Wende’s eye-opening collection of Cold War-era art and artifacts, including the exhibit Counter/Surveillance: Control, Privacy, Agency.

Summer of Salsa
The free outdoor concert series at LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes is keeping it spicy with a salsa music set by DJ Robby and a tribute performance by all-star ensemble, Arsenio Rodriguez Project. Pro tip: Show up by 6 p.m. for the free salsa dance classes!

Afro Funke at Leavitt Pavilion
Levitt Pavilion is celebrating its 18th annual concert series under the stars at MacArthur Park, with the iconic DTLA skyline in the distance. This Saturday night, pull up for an evening of Afrobeat, global rhythms, and dancing hosted by Rocky Duwani, with performances by Blaq Pages, Wazumbians, Africa in America, KCRW’s DJ Novena Carmel – plus very special guests!

Downey Pride 2025
This year’s theme, “Born this way,” speaks of the annual Pride event’s commitment to celebrating diversity and creating a safe and welcoming space for all. The festival will feature live music, a pop-up market and community booths, food trucks, entertainment for all ages, and appearances by elected officials like LA County Supervisor Janice Hahn and entertainers like Lushious Massacr.

King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard at the Hollywood Bowl
Summer fun is peaking at the Hollywood Bowl as Australian band King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard team up with the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra and conductor Sarah Hicks to perform music from their new album Phantom Island and more.
