The Broad’s Summer Concert Series
The Broad kicks off their summer concert series with live music in the galleries to create true art party vibes. Past + Future = Present, Part 1 will feature Indigenous voices in music such as Black Belt Eagle Scout and Snotty Nose Rez Kids (to name a few) who were selected to play off of the themes of the current exhibition, Jeffrey Gibson: the space in which to place me. On the Broad’s outdoor plaza, you can grab a tasty bite and sip on handcrafted cocktails and mocktails under the stars.

DEEP 25th Anniversary at Grand Performances
If you love to dance, you don’t want to miss this anniversary celebration for DEEP, the legendary house music party series. This special edition of Grand Performances invites pioneering DJs Marques Wyatt, Big Cee and QVLN to step up to the decks on Saturday night to play us joyful house beats all night.

KCRW Summer Nights
This weekend’s Summer Nights with Long Beach’s Taste of Downtown will take place at the Pike Outlets by the Ferris wheel, featuring food, drinks and live sets from KCRW DJ Jeremy Sole and guest DJ Nobody. Downtown Long Beach’s Taste of Downtown: Bevs, Bites and Beats is a summertime festival that features delicious bites from popular eateries, craft beverages, wine-tasting and plenty of fun activities for foodies and shoppers.

Nisei Week Japanese Festival
Little Tokyo will be buzzing with crowds and fun all weekend for Nisei Week, an annual celebration of Japanese American culture and history. The family-friendly event features food, games, live entertainment as well as cultural exhibits including bonsai, calligraphy, Ikebana and Taiko drumming. Sunday could be your chance to become an ultimate street dancer: everyone gets invited to join the ondo dancing, a Japanese tradition of dancing in the street to close out the festival.

Black on the Block
Celebrate National Black Business Month at Black on the Block, which showcases Black-owned small businesses, creators and musical artists. The pop-up market – taking place at Los Angeles Center Studios in downtown L.A. – will feature clothing, jewelry, accessories, household decor, original artworks and more! Stop in at the food and beverages court to fuel up and hydrate for all that shopping and the entertainment – a showcase of live DJ sets, a dance floor and a live performance by Grammy Award-winning artist Leon Thomas.

CicLAvia – Culver City meets Venice
Connecting the Westside communities of Venice, Mar Vista and Culver City, this Sunday’s CicLAvia welcomes folks of all ages and abilities for a day of biking, skating, walking, jogging or simply people-watching on car-free streets! Come for the fresh air, stay for a bite and a beverage at any local spot on the route, which stretches for almost 7 miles from the Venice Beach boardwalk to Culver City’s Arts District.
