The Pokémon GO Tour is bringing the Kalos region to life at the Rose Bowl this weekend, transforming Pasadena into an augmented reality playground. 127th Annual Golden Dragon Parade
Chinatown’s legendary Lunar New Year parade returns for its 127th year, bringing vibrant color and celebration to the streets. Ring in the Year of the Horse with spectacular floats, traditional lion and dragon dances, marching bands and cultural performers winding through the heart of Chinatown. It’s one of L.A.’s oldest and most beloved traditions, drawing thousands to celebrate together. Arrive early for a good viewing spot. 1 p.m. Free.

LAFC Soccer
LAFC kicks off the MLS regular season at home on Saturday with a blockbuster matchup against Inter Miami CF at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. That means Messi is coming to L.A. don’t miss your chance to see one of soccer’s all-time greats take the field alongside LAFC’s electric attack. It’s the season opener every fan has been waiting for. 6:30 p.m.
Go Metro: Take the E Line to Expo Park/USC Station, and it’s just a short walk to the Coliseum.
Black on the Block – Los Angeles
Don’t miss Los Angeles’ premier Black-owned marketplace and cultural celebration at Los Angeles Center Studios. Black on the Block brings together more than 100 Black-owned businesses, drawing thousands to shop, eat and celebrate community. Expect a full food court with diverse options, bars, live music, a sports lounge, free haircuts, gaming, activations, giveaways and special guests throughout the day. It’s more than shopping — it’s a movement to uplift Black entrepreneurs and keep the Black dollar circulating in the community. Tickets $15. 1-7 p.m.

LA Lakers vs Boston Celtics
The LA Lakers host the Boston Celtics at Crypto.com Arena in a clash of the NBA’s most storied rivals. 3:30 p.m.

LA Clippers vs Orlando Magic
The LA Clippers host the Orlando Magic at Intuit Dome. 6 p.m.
Go Metro: Connect to a free bus shuttle at Hawthorne/Lennox Station (C Line), Downtown Inglewood Station (K Line) or LAX/Metro Transit Center (C/K lines). The shuttle runs 12-15 minutes to the arena. Shuttles run at 20-minute intervals two hours before the game and at 10-minute intervals for one hour after it ends.
The annual SoCal Museums Free-for-All returns Sunday, offering free general admission to more than 30 museums across Southern California including more than a dozen L.A. County. Explore art, history, science and culture without the admission price tag. Whether you’ve been meaning to visit the Getty, discover a new museum or take the kids somewhere educational, this is your chance to experience some of the region’s best cultural institutions for free.
Advance tickets or reservations are required for most museums, so plan and reserve your spots early. Note that while admission is free, parking fees may apply at some locations — that’s where Metro comes in handy.

After days of rain and chilly temperatures, Southern California will get a break from the wet weather this weekend.
Friday will stay cool and mostly dry, with highs in the low 60s and a mix of sun and clouds. Winds will ease through the day, but breezy spots are still possible.
A warming trend begins Saturday, bringing sunshine and more comfortable conditions. Highs will reach the upper 60s under clear skies. By Sunday, temperatures will climb into the low 70s with partly cloudy skies — a pleasant end to the weekend.
Looking ahead, another storm system is expected to arrive early next week, likely bringing more rain by late Monday or Tuesday. It’s too early to pin down exact timing or totals, but light to moderate rain looks possible across the region.
