The 2026 NBA All-Star Weekend kicks off at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, home of the L.A. Clippers, bringing the biggest celebration in basketball to Los Angeles. Ivy Station Night Market: Mardi Gras
Laissez les bons temps rouler! Mardi Gras comes to the Ivy Station Night Market in Culver City for a Fat Tuesday celebration like no other. Shop 30-plus local makers and vendors, dance along to a live brass band, and sip craft beer from Los Angeles Ale Works. Indulge in delicious eats from food trucks and restaurants, let the kids decorate Mardi Gras masks and snag your beads for the celebration. It’s a family-friendly taste of New Orleans right here in L.A., 5-10 p.m. Free.

Night Dive at the Aquarium of the Pacific

Fútbol Is Life: Animated Sportraits
In celebration of the upcoming World Cup, LACMA debuts a new exhibition called “Futbol Is Life: Animated Sportraits.” The show presents works by award-winning animator and visual effects artist Lyndon J. Barrois Sr., who creates miniature “sportraits” — sports portraits — capturing iconic moments in women’s and men’s soccer. Crafted from unexpected materials like gum wrappers, glue and paint, these tiny masterpieces celebrate the beautiful game’s most unforgettable plays. It’s a unique blend of fine art, animation and futbol passion. Open through July 12. Tickets $30.

Lunar New Year Celebration at USC Pacific Asia Museum
Join the USC Pacific Asia Museum in celebrating the Year of the Horse with live performances and family-friendly activities. Don’t miss the opening weekend of the newest special exhibition, “Mythical Creatures: The Stories We Carry,” which explores the legendary beings that shape our cultural narratives. We’re tracking some changes in the forecast as cooler weather moves into Southern California this weekend.
Friday will bring a mix of sun and clouds with highs in the 70s. By Saturday, increasing cloud cover will lead to slightly cooler temperatures and mostly cloudy skies.
Sunday looks even cooler, with highs dipping into the 60s under mostly cloudy skies. There’s a small chance of light rain or drizzle, but most areas should stay dry.
Looking ahead, we’re also keeping an eye on a storm system that could bring a better chance of rain early next week.
