Anime Expo 
The annual Anime Expo extravaganza is taking over the L.A. Convention Center to celebrate all things Japanese pop culture. Get lost in everything from cosplay, gaming and discussion panels to major premieres of anime movies, J-Pop concerts and shopping for exclusive anime merchandise, electronics and unique collectibles.  
Go Metro: Take the A or E Line to Pico Station, which is a one-block walk from the convention center in downtown L.A. The Metro J Line bus and other local bus routes also stop nearby. 

Dodgers Baseball, with Fourth of July fireworks
Our boys in blue are playing at home and battling the Houston Astros all weekend long. Grab a seat at Dodger Stadium on Friday and stay for a dazzling fireworks show after the game.

Friday, July 4

July Fourth Fireworks Spectacular with Earth, Wind & Fire  
Earth, Wind & Fire will bring out their iconic and timeless hits like “September” and “Shining Star” for an exciting night of music, fireworks and summer fun at the Hollywood Bowl.  
7:30 p.m. 
Go Metro: Take the B Line to Hollywood/Highland and connect to the Bowl Shuttle at Ovation Hollywood. The shuttle stop is located in the Orange Court, on Level Two – off Orange Dr between Hollywood Bl and Franklin Av.  

Marina del Rey Fireworks 2025 
The annual Marina del Rey fireworks will blast off over the marina this Friday, promising a spectacular show. Watch from Burton Chace Park or Fisherman’s Village along with music that’s set to accompany the 4th of July display.  
9 p.m. FREE 
Go Metro: Take Line 108 to Mindanao/Admiralty to Burton Chace Park 

Santa Monica 4th of July Parade 2025 
Santa Monica will celebrate Independence Day with a parade jam-packed with marching bands, floats, festive music and dancing, as well as community organizations and groups. The parade starts on Main Street at Pico and proceeds south toward Marine.  
9:30 a.m. FREE 
Go Metro: Take the E Line to Downtown Santa Monica Station. It’s an approximately 15-minute walk to Main/Pico. 

Saturday, July 5

Jaws in Concert 
The ultimate summer blockbuster, Jaws (1975), will be showing at the Hollywood Bowl for one night, with a very special film-with-live-orchestra experience. The LA Phil will perform John Williams’ Oscar-winning score in sync with one of the most memorable movies of all time.
