Science Fiction Against the Margins
The UCLA Film & Television Archive screens Night Raiders (directed by Danis Goulet) at The Hammer’s Billy Wilder Theater as part of the Science Fiction Against the Margins series. The films in the series were curated to showcase filmmakers who occupy the margins of mainstream cinema and challenge the science fiction genre.

Saturday, November 23
Great Los Angeles Walk
If you like walking (and we mean, really like walking), the annual Great Los Angeles Walk takes place this Saturday — a unique opportunity to explore the region by foot. The initial meet-up point is at the oldest palm tree in L.A., located in Exposition Park near Exposition Park Drive and Figueroa, at West 39th St. The route is scheduled to take participants all the way to the Bruin statue on the campus of UCLA.

Go Metro: Take the E Line to Expo Park/USC Station, and it’s a short walk toward Exposition/Figueroa and then south on Figueroa toward 39th St.
L.A. Kings Hockey
The Seattle Kraken visit for a Saturday matinee. The Kings continue to play well as we get deeper into the season.
Go Metro: Take the A or E Line to Pico Station, which is a one-block walk from Crypto.com Arena in downtown L.A. The Metro J Line bus, as well as other local bus routes, also stop near the arena.

L.A. Lakers Basketball
A strong Denver Nuggets squad comes to town to take on a stronger Lakers team on Saturday evening at Crypto.com Arena.
Go Metro: Take the A or E Line to Pico Station, which is a one-block walk from Crypto.com Arena in downtown L.A. The Metro J Line bus, as well as other local bus routes, also stop near the arena.
LAFC Soccer
The Seattle Sounders visit LAFC for the conference semifinals on Saturday evening. LAFC is the better team but in the MLS postseason, anything can happen.
Go Metro: Take the E Line to Expo Park/USC Station or the J Line to 37th St/USC Station — it’s a short walk from either to BMO Stadium.

MOCA Focus: Ana Segovia at MOCA Grand Avenue
The Museum of Contemporary Art will debut the first ever U.S. solo exhibition for Mexican artist Ana Segovia at MOCA’s Grand Avenue campus in downtown L.A. MOCA Focus: Ana Segovia exhibits a series of paintings that explore assumptions about masculinity through a queer lens, challenging gendered stereotypes based on national identity. The exhibition runs through May 4, 2025.

USC at UCLA Football
Even though neither team is likely headed to the college football playoffs, this is the game of the year for these longtime rivals. Everyone wants a big win heading into Thanksgiving week.
Go Metro: Take the A Line to Memorial Park Station in Pasadena, turn right out of the station and walk to the free Rose Bowl bus shuttle that drops off at Gate B at the stadium. The shuttle begins running at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday and continues for 90 minutes after the game. We’re running extra A Line and B Line trains in the evening to help everyone get home from the game, as well as three-car trains on the A Line and E Line.

Home Movie Day at the Academy Museum
Home Movie Day celebrates the local film community and the ways home movies and amateur films have contributed to the history of cinema. This hands-on, family-friendly event will feature workshops, prizes, popcorn, and so much more. Don’t miss it!

The NFC West has turned into a pig fight. The Eagles — and their not-so-quiet fans — come to town for a huge Sunday Night Football game.

Please keep in mind the C and K Lines were reconfigured earlier this month — the C Line now runs between Norwalk and the new Aviation/Century Station. The K Line is temporarily running in two segments: between Redondo and Aviation Century and between Westchester/Veterans and Expo/Crenshaw. Transfer between the C and K Lines at Aviation/Century.

Pasadena Doo Dah Parade
Things will get weird at the Pasadena Doo Dah Parade, well-known for bringing out an irreverent and oddball cast of characters to march through Old Pasadena. The parade begins at Raymond Avenue and Holly Street, continuing south two blocks and then onto Colorado Boulevard. The official start time is 11 a.m., but we recommend getting there early if you want a good viewing spot. FREE

The Chargers withstood a furious Bengals comeback last week and now take on one of the top teams in the AFC when the Baltimore Ravens come into town.
