“Coco” Fan Event
The iconic El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood raises the curtain for a special screening of the Pixar/Disney movie “Coco” and a vibrant showcase of Mexican music and dance. Before the movie starts, Mariachi Divas will serenade the crowd and Ballet Folklorico de Los Angeles will take to the stage with vibrant costumes and lively traditional dance, plus a few other fun surprises.

Go Metro: Take the B Line to Hollywood/Highland Station
Comic Con L.A.
It’s the most magical time of the year for comics, anime, cosplay and gaming geeks and their admirers! Comic Con L.A. will take place at the L.A. Convention Center in downtown L.A. this weekend, featuring a jam-packed schedule of celebrity guests, discussion panels, 800+ exhibitors and artists, exclusive merch and unforgettable fan experiences!
Friday 1 to 8 p.m.; Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Sunday 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Go Metro: Take the A or E Line to Pico Station, and it’s about a 5-minute walk to the convention center.
LeaLA Spanish Book Fair
La Plaza de Cultura y Artes will host the 10th annual LeaLA Spanish Book Fair and Literary Festival, featuring fun for all ages. Check out our previous blog post (in Spanish) for all the details.

Go Metro: Take the A, B, E or J Line to Union Station, or take one of several local bus lines with stops at Union Station.
Spider Pavilion
They’re crawley, and maybe a little creepy – but you don’t want to miss the spiders at this one-of-a-kind, open-air exhibit at the Natural History Museum. The Spider Pavilion is currently home to hundreds of spiders from up to 20 different species, including tarantulas, wolf spiders and jumping spiders, and all their fancy web-weaving, too! Through Nov. 30

Autry Museum’s Annual Block Party
This year’s annual block party at the Autry will feature fun for all ages on the museum’s outdoor grounds as well as in the galleries. The carnival’s nonstop fun and surprises will include bounce houses, a Ferris wheel, carnival games and a mini-train ride. Like to live on the wild side? Come for the mechanical bull ride, and stay for getting your picture taken with live horses. Don’t forget to check out docent-led tours inside! And, when it’s time to refuel, food trucks and beverage bars will be serving tasty delights.

Oktoberfest Downtown Santa Monica
This isn’t your typical Oktoberfest celebration! Just blocks from the beach, festivities on the Third Street Promenade will feature local bands, traditional Oktoberfest tunes, games and prize giveaways, a kids zone and, of course, beer brews! Oktoberfest Downtown Santa Monica is jam-packed with good times for everyone, for example beer stein giveaways for the 21 and over crowd and much more Bavarian-inspired traditions.

Go Metro: Take the E Line to Downtown Santa Monica Station
L.A. Rams
The Rams are slightly favored to win as the team hosts the surprising Indianapolis Colts at SoFi Stadium.
Go Metro: The free SoFi Stadium shuttle connects fans to the action from the LAX/Metro Transit Center. Take the Metro C or K Line – or other local bus lines such as Big Blue Bus Line 3 and Culver Citybus Line 6 – to the LAX/Metro Transit Center and hop aboard the shuttle at bus bay 8.
