Friday, September 5

KCRW Summer Nights with the Autry Museum 
KCRW joins the Autry Museum of the American West to host a Summer Nights party with music, art and food! KCRW DJs Jeremy Sole and Tyler Boudreaux will keep the tunes playing all night, while the Autry’s galleries remain open for special nighttime exploring, including the exhibition Black Cowboys: An American Story. 
6 to 10 p.m. FREE 
Go Metro: Take Line 296 to the museum located in Griffith Park. 

Saturday, September 6

Gloria Molina Grand Park’s Block Party 
It’s finally here: L.A.’s ultimate summer neighborhood block party! The Grand Park Block Party  — set in the heart of downtown L.A. — will feature visual and performing artists, DJs playing high-energy sets at the KCRW Stage, food trucks, games for all ages, and it all caps off with a spectacular drone show.  
3 to 9 p.m. FREE 
Go Metro: Take the B or D Line to Civic Center/Grand Park Station, or take the A or E Line to Historic Broadway Station  

USC Football  
Coming off last week’s triumphant season opener, USC hits the field this weekend against opponent Georgia Southern.  
Go Metro: Connect to the E Line and exit Expo Park/USC, or take the J Line bus to 37th St/USC. Tips for your match day trip.     

Sunday, September 14

Chinatown Hungry Ghost Festival 
Celebrate culture, tradition and community at the 2^nd annual Chinatown Hungry Ghost Festival. The fun for all ages will include Chinese lion and dragon dances, live music, dance performances and martial arts demonstrations by local community groups and artists. Kids will also be able to enjoy a bouncy house, face painting, a scavenger hunt and some fun learning at the cultural crafts tables.  
4 to 7 p.m. FREE 
Go Metro: Take the A Line to Chinatown Station, and it’s about a 7-minute walk along College Av to the Alpine Recreation Center. 

L.A. Kids Book Festival 
School’s back in session so it’s a great time to get the kids excited about reading! The L.A. Kids Book Festival takes at West Hollywood Park, with tons of fun and hands-on activities, including live music, storybook time, interactive shows and, of course, books and authors. 
9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. FREE 
Go Metro: Take Line 4 or 105 to Santa Monica Bl/San Vicente Bl 

L.A. Rams 
The Rams kick off the regular season in a matchup with Houston at SoFi Stadium. Both teams are hoping to return to the playoffs this season.  
Go Metro: The free SoFi Stadium shuttle connects fans to the action from the LAX/Metro Transit Center. Take the Metro C or K Line – or other local bus lines such as Big Blue Bus Line 3 and Culver Citybus Line 6 – to the LAX/Metro Transit Center and hop aboard the shuttle at bus bay 8.
