Fire Kinship at the Fowler Museum
A timely topic for L.A., Fire Kinship includes installations, objects, videos and multimedia works that explore indigenous communities’ relationship with the land, including practices in which fire is regarded as vital to land stewardship, community wellbeing and tribal sovereignty. The exhibition runs through July 13, 2025.

First Fridays in Chinatown L.A.
Get a jump start on the weekend with a trip to Chinatown, where many shops, eateries, bars and galleries extend their hours for First Fridays. Chinatown outdoor spaces such as Chung King Plaza (on Hill Street) will feature live DJ-spun tunes and pop-up shopping and food vendors from 6 – 10 p.m. If you’re all about the street food, the Damnoen Saduak Night Market will be serving tasty bites and beverages at Far East Plaza (on Broadway) from 5 – 11 p.m.

MOCA First Friday
February’s edition of First Friday at MOCA Geffen is a great (and free) way to see the current museum exhibit, OPEN by Olaf Eliasson, a mesmerizing light and color sensory experience. Plus, this month’s First Friday will showcase a live drawing session by L.A.-based artist, Tim Biskup.

L.A. Kings Hockey
The Kings are driving toward the playoffs and host the Stars on Friday night and the Ducks on Saturday evening.

Alhambra Lunar New Year Festival
The Alhambra Lunar New Year Festival welcomes everyone to join this celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander heritage and kicking off the Year of the Snake. The festival takes over Main Street between First and Fourth Streets with cultural performances, live art, cooking demonstrations and much more.

Koas Kids in Leimert Park
From arts and crafts to games and music, this Kaos Kids event will feature fun activities and workshops for all ages, as well as a celebration of black agricultural scientist George Washington Carver. The interactive experience takes place in the heart of Leimert Park at the Kaos Kids creative space. If workshops such as “Potting edible plants” and “Do you want to build a robot?” call your name, sign up in advance to join.

Clippers Basketball
The Utah Jazz visit the Intuit Dome on Saturday.
Go Metro to Intuit Dome for LA Clippers home games by connecting to a free bus shuttle at Hawthorne/Lennox Station (C Line) or Downtown Inglewood Station (K Line). Note that boarding at Hawthorne/Lennox Station will be on Hawthorne Bl heading southbound (opposite side of SoFi shuttle boarding location). The shuttles will start running at 20-minute intervals two hours before each game begins and at 10-minute intervals for one hour after each game ends.
