“Show Some Love” at Pacific Park
A Valentine’s Day-themed celebration, Show Some Love, is in full bloom at the Santa Monica Pier’s Pacific Park, featuring large-scale flower installations, live music, sweetheart-inspired bites and drinks at Snackville — and the iconic Ferris wheel lit with romantic colors.

Saturday, February 15
Black History Month Celebration at Westfield Culver City
On Saturday, it’s Creative Expressions Day at the Westfield Culver City mall’s Black History Month celebration. Bring your young ones for a chance to get creative with arts and crafts. The month-long event honors Black history and uplifts local artists with free art, culture and community activities through February 23.

USC Men’s Basketball
The Golden Gophers — great team name, by the way — escape the chill of Minnesota to visit USC at Galen Center on Saturday afternoon.

Skyline Festival
The Skyline Festival brings two days of music, food, art and colorful activations to transform Gloria Molina Grand Park in DTLA into a weekend wonderland celebrating dance culture. This is a 21+ and over event.

Whale of a Weekend at Santa Monica Pier
The Heal the Bay Aquarium is celebrating the annual migration of Pacific gray whales during Whale of a Weekend. The kid-friendly fun includes whale-spotting activities outdoors as well as indoor activities such as whale-themed crafts, story time and audio interactives.

Sunday, February 16
Winter Corgi Nationals at Santa Anita Park
On Sunday, race-ready corgis from across Southern California take the field at Santa Anita Park. The Winter Corgi Nationals is a family-fun event that will feature corgi racing all day with the semi-finals and finals taking place on the big track, plenty of tasty options for food and drinks, as well as horse racing.

Monday, February 17
Kingdom Day Parade
Rescheduled from the usual timing in January due to the wildfires, the “world’s largest and longest running life celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King” takes over sections of Crenshaw and MLK Jr. Boulevard in South L.A. on Monday. Pull up to wave and cheer for a spectacular Kingdom Day Parade lineup of community groups, elected officials, celebrities, marching bands, a vintage Metro bus and more.
