Willowbrook is turning up the flavor this December with Roots & Routes: Grill & Chill, a free community celebration hosted by Markets at Metro and the Willowbrook Inclusion Network. The event takes place Saturday, December 6, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Willowbrook/Rosa Parks Station Plaza.
This lively afternoon will mark the debut of the Roots & Routes Flavor Grill Cart, serving up free tastings for the first 200 guests. Visitors can enjoy sizzling bites hot off the grill, live music, art, and plenty of community spirit right in the heart of Willowbrook.
What to Expect
There’s something for everyone at this neighborhood celebration. Kick things off with a community drum circle led by S.H.I.N.E. Muwasi, then join in on line dancing with the Willowbrook Senior Line Dancers. Guests can also browse local vendors, connect with resource booths, and learn about micro-entrepreneurship and vendor opportunities in the community.
