As Los Angeles welcomed visitors from around the globe this summer, Soundtrips made Metro into more than a ride—the playlists became part of the pre-game celebration.
Created by Metro Art and KCRW, the music series invited riders to experience Los Angeles through music. Designed to accompany journeys on Metro, Soundtrips turns everyday travel into an immersive listening experience that connects neighborhoods, cultures and destinations through curated playlists by four acclaimed KCRW DJs.

Each playlist offers a distinct perspective on the region’s rich musical landscape.
- Novena Carmel celebrates LA’s vibrant soul through funk, soul and R&B.
- Ale Cohen creates moments of reflection with ambient, experimental and contemporary classical sounds.
- SiLVA transforms the ride into a moving dance party with house, disco and club classics—perfect for fans heading to matches, watch parties and celebrations across the region.
- Wyldeflower rounds out the series with a genre-defying mix that celebrated the global rhythms, local communities and creative spirit that make Los Angeles unlike anywhere else.
The playlists together showcase Metro as a cultural connector—bringing people together through music. Whether riders were commuting to work, meeting friends, exploring new neighborhoods or joining the excitement of a summer filled with international competition, Soundtrips celebrated the journey .
