Ready to cast your ballot? We’re offering FREE RIDES on all Metro buses, trains, bikes, and Metro Micro this Election Day: Tuesday, November 5.  

Here are the details:  

  • No fares will be collected on Metro between midnight and 11:59 p.m. on November 5. Turnstiles that allow access to Metro Rail stations will be unlocked. On buses, fareboxes and TAP validators will have signage indicating free fares.  
  • Metro Bike Share will be providing free 30-minute rides with the promo code 110524. Just select 1-Ride at any Metro Bike Share kiosk, online or in the Metro Bike Share app and enter the code at checkout. A credit or debit card is required. The promo code may be redeemed multiple times throughout the day. Bike rides are additional $1.75 for each half hour after the first 30 minutes. For more details about the free 30-minute rides on Election Day and other voting resources, please visit  https://bikeshare.metro.net/go-vote/. Note: Do not leave your Metro Bike unattended while a trip is open and always dock Metro Bikes at a station to end a trip. Fees and fines up to $2500 will accrue for improperly docked or missing Metro Bikes. 
  • Our on-demand rideshare service, Metro Micro, will also be providing free rides. Use the promo code Vote24 when booking your trip on the app, online, or through the call center at 323-GO-METRO (323-466-3876) and press option 5.  

Short on time? We also have secure Vote-By-Mail Drop Boxes at 9 major transit locations for those who wish to vote early. The ballot boxes will be open through 8 p.m. on Election Day. You can find them at the following locations:   

  • El Monte Transit Center  
  • North Hollywood B Line  
  • Harbor Gateway Transit Center  
  • Union Station (east wing)  
  • Harbor Freeway C Line  
  • Hollywood/Western B Line  
  • Wilshire/Vermont B/D Lines  
  • Westlake/MacArthur Park B/D Lines   
  • Norwalk C Line

  1. appreciate the map, but by nov 5 it will already be outdated, since the K/C line configuration is changing this weekend. please correct this to show the correct K/C line configuration for election day!
