On Saturday, March 14, you’ll have a unique opportunity to meet five of the 27 artists bringing integrated artworks to two new stations of the D Line Subway Extension Project – Section 3.
Join the Hammer Museum and Metro Art for a special Art Lab program with Metro Art-commissioned artists iris yirei hu, Yunhee Min, Sandow Birk, Victoria Fu & Matt Rich. Explore the artists’ creative process through hands-on, art-making activities connected to their site-specific artworks for the future D Line Subway Extension Project – Section 3 stations serving UCLA, Westwood Village, the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center and beyond!
This event is free and open to the public. All ages are welcome.

Here’s how to get there
Go Metro to the Hammer Museum and experience Metro Art, one of the largest collections of public art in the nation along the way! Metro Buses 1, 20, and 720 all stop within walking distance of the venue. Plan your journey using the Transit app, the Moovit app, Google or Apple maps, the trip planner at metro.net, or by calling 323.GO.METRO.
Metered and two-hour street parking is available within a block of the Hammer Museum. Please note that the Hammer Museum is unable to validate parking for metered spots.
Convenient self-parking is available under the museum. Parking entrances are located on the east side of Westwood Boulevard (northbound) or on the west side of Glendon Boulevard (southbound), between Wilshire Boulevard and Lindbrook Drive.
There is a $8 flat rate after 5 p.m. on weekdays, and all day on weekends. Accessible parking is provided on levels P1 and P3.

The Hammer Museum is part of the School of the Arts and Architecture at UCLA, and offers exhibitions and collections that span classic to contemporary art. It holds more than 50,000 works in its collection, including one of the finest collections of works on paper in the nation, the Grunwald Center for the Graphic Arts.
