Every year, we provide a mechanism to collect public feedback about Metro’s budget and provide an outlet for you to tell us what you’d like to see. The past year was no different. In October 2024, we launched the My Metro Budget Activity, an interactive tool to gather your input on Metro’s FY26 budget. We’re pleased to announce the results are now available on our interactive dashboard. View them here.
Some of our key takeaways:
- Over 6,400 people participated—that’s over 2,000 more participants than last year!
- 73% of respondents say they ride Metro trains and buses at least once a week.
- The budget items most frequently increased were:
- Cleanliness and maintenance
- Public safety
- Service frequency
Of course, there is so much more to our budget than the takeaways listed above. Our new dashboard lets you dive deep into the topics that matter most to you. I totally agree with the first comment here. Decrease police? Really for cleanliness? OMG what is wrong with people? By having police keeping it safe also keeps people from trashing and destroying the property also. Maybe the filth comes from the protesters. It’s the city that needs cleanliness not metro!!! This sounds like a problem for the MAYOR Dumb BAss!!
