Riders are invited to take a brief survey to help Metro better understand the needs of neurodivergent riders and guide future efforts to create a more inclusive transit experience.

Metro is taking a significant step toward making public transportation more accessible for everyone. We are developing a Neurodiverse Rider Experience Program designed to improve the transit experience for riders with neurological differences, such as autism, ADHD, and sensory processing conditions.

Metro’s People First approach begins with understanding riders’ experiences and identifying barriers so we can design a transit system that better serves everyone. To support this effort, Metro has launched a survey inviting neurodivergent riders and/or their caregivers to share their perspectives, concerns, and needs, which will help inform future improvements.

Whether you ride often, occasionally, or are thinking about riding in the future, we’d love to hear your input! Your perspective will help us improve comfort, navigation, safety, and overall rider experience across our buses, trains, and stations.

Through surveys and focus groups, Metro will learn directly from neurodivergent riders about potential improvements, including sensory-friendly station environments, clearer visual signage, more predictable announcements, and reduced overwhelming stimuli during travel.

We need your input. Take our survey, your responses will directly shape strategies to improve the Metro experience. The survey takes 10–20 minutes to complete. The survey is for adults (18 years or older). All responses will be kept confidential.
