First launched in 2020, the Transit Watch App is your direct connection to Metro Security, wherever you are going. You can use it to report any incidents that occur on the system, as well as safety, maintenance, cleaning, and quality-of-life concerns.
Over the last year, we’ve been working closely with riders, conducting focus groups, and listening to customer feedback in order to improve your experience on the app. We’ve also been hard at work developing a new version of the app. To ensure that it addressed your needs, we conducted beta testing for about three weeks, collecting user input on everything from ease of reporting to bugs with the dropdown menu.
Now (drumroll please), the new version of the Transit Watch App is out in the world and available for download! Here are some new features and improvements that you will see:

- New interface and a modern design for more intuitive navigation
- Streamlined reporting so you can submit an incident report to Metro Security more quickly. (We want to hear about all incidents on the system. If it is an emergency and you or someone else is in immediate danger, please call 911)
- New in-app chat so we can respond more quickly to you
- Enhanced real-time location services so you tell us where the issue is occurring (Please note that you must have location services turned on to access this feature)
- Easy-to-track history of reports submitted and chats with our staff
- New feedback survey for you to rate your experience using the app
- Improved accessibility enhancements, from 14 different language options to text enlargement clearer language options (14 in all!) to text enlargement

I like using the transit Watch app I was able to let natural security note. 1 day I was on the bus the 33 bus route that 2 guys got on the bus that were drunk. Making a ton of Noise. in the back when the female bus operator did not was not aware of the situation. I let them know where they were at. Gave a description someday. I already got off the bus and they said OK, thank you for letting us know I really like using the app. I think it’s useful because you gotta communicate with transit security. I don’t know what’s happening. Because a lot of the time, the operators are not aware. What’s going on on either train or bus? And it’s very useful.I have the update. It’s already on my android phone.
I will try the new app. I will use it to report that my last two rides out to Chatsworth have resulted in the driver dropping the last passengers off under the charging towers instead of driving around to the station platform.
This is more than inconvenient. It is unsafe, and I’ve complained about this before and received no reply and it keeps happening.
Halloween night and again Saturday night at 11:35 PM I was dropped off on the wrong side and both drivers argued with me that the battery charge on the bus was too depleted for another ten seconds to get around to the station platform.
If the rechargeable batteries in the buses are beginning to fail, this is a separate problem, but if it’s just that the late night drivers don’t want to bother taking the passengers to the station platform, that’s a management problem.
