Prepare for a monstrous celebration! This November, Godzilla, the king of kaiju himself, is stomping into Little Tokyo to mark his 70th anniversary. To honor the towering titan’s legacy, we are teaming up with Anime Jungle for an epic Godzilla and kaiju celebration, and our Little Tokyo/Arts District Station is the center of all the action.

For seven decades, Godzilla has captivated audiences around the world. From his early film battles against fellow kaiju to his earth-shattering roars that have shaken the big screen, Godzilla has become more than a monster –– he’s also a symbol of our power, resilience, and impending destruction. Now, it’s time for you to step into his massive shadow and join the fun in LA’s own Little Tokyo.

Godzilla popup at Anime Jungle

Commemorative and limited-edition Godzilla TAP cards will be available November 11 at Anime Jungle.

Starting November 2nd (the 3rd in Japan, the date of Godzilla’s debut), Anime Jungle—Little Tokyo’s premier shop for anime, monsters, cosplay, and all things kaiju—will open their Godzilla-themed pop-up shop in the Japanese Village Plaza. This special store will be stocked through November 17 with exclusive anniversary figurines, toys, and collectibles. Stop inside beginning on November 11, and you can snag a limited-edition Godzilla TAP card when you make a purchase (while supplies last). Don’t miss it!

Little Tokyo / Godzilla Station

Have you seen the Godzilla train on the A Line?

If you can’t make it Saturday, Nov. 2, the Godzilla activation will remain at Little Tokyo / Arts District Station until Sunday, Nov. 10. But the celebration doesn’t end in Little Tokyo! Keep your eyes peeled for the Godzilla train on the Metro A Line. That’s right, the King of the Monsters rides Metro! This special train has been running through the heart of L.A. since September and will continue until November 18, bringing a little good-natured terror to your daily commute.

So, mark your calendars! Whether you’re a lifelong fan or new to the world of giant monsters, this event is going to be a roaring good time.
