April is Arts, Culture and Creativity Month, and it’s already underway! Metro Art kicked off the celebrations this past weekend with KJazz Tracks at Union Station. Keep reading for upcoming exhibitions, pop-ups, music and more.
Artist Pop-up in the Metro Art Passageway Gallery
On Wednesday, April 16, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Metro Art Passageway Gallery at Union Station, meet the artists behind Metro Art’s Through the Eyes of Artists poster series and take home a signed collectible poster featuring neighborhoods served by Metro.

While you’re there, check out the Canoga Park, San Gabriel, and Studio City artworks on display in the Metro Art Passageway Gallery, which connects Union Station East with historic Union Station.

Transit riders, nature lovers, and art enthusiasts—your next ride just got more colorful! In late April, a new art poster featuring the city of Sun Valley by acclaimed L.A. artist J Michael Walker joins the Through the Eyes of Artists poster series.
Look for this new artwork displayed across Metro bus and rail lines and follow Metro Art on social media for the official drop date.

Metro Art’s newest integrated artwork, commissioned for LAX/Metro Transit Center Station, will soon welcome travelers to Los Angeles coming here from around the world. Glenn Kaino’s origami-inspired artwork is getting ready to take flight—literally! While you’re waiting for new station to open (and we will have that soon), check out some installation photos below.
