Tomorrow, go Metro for FREE to vote on Election Day: March 5, 2024

Ready to cast your ballot tomorrow? Let us make voting easier for you with FREE RIDES on all Metro buses, trains, bikes, and micro transit this Election Day.  

The details:  

  • On all Metro trains, free fares will be offered at free-flowing turnstiles that allow access to the stations. 
  • On buses, all fareboxes and TAP validators will have signage indicating free fares. 
  • Our Bike Share Program will be providing free 30-minute rides with the promo code 030524. Just select 1-Ride at any Metro Bike Share kiosk, online or in the Metro Bike Share app and enter the code at checkout. A credit or debit card is required. The promo code may be redeemed multiple times throughout the day. Bike rides are additional $1.75 for each half hour after the first 30 minutes. We’ve also created an interactive map for bikers to locate in-person voting locations and ballot drop boxes, available at https://bikeshare.metro.net/go-vote/ 
  • Our on-demand rideshare service, Metro Micro, will also be providing free rides. Use the coupon code Primary24 when booking your trip on the app, online, or through the call center at 323-GO-METRO (323-466-3876) and press option 5.  

We will have secure Vote-By-Mail Drop Boxes at 9 major transit locations. They are open for business right now for those who wish to vote early, and will be open through 8 p.m. on Election Day.

  • Harbor Freeway Station C and J Lines (park and ride area)

  • Norwalk Station C Line, (east plaza area) 
  • Westlake/MacArthur Park B/D Line station (plaza area)
