Go Metro to the ‘323 Food and Flea’ night market this Dec. 14

Did you know there is a night market in East Los Angeles? 323 Food and Flea, located between Humphreys Avenue and New York Street, is open every Thursday from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Home to almost 40 small businesses, the market hosts regular vendors (similar to a swap meet) and food stalls. It opened last October as a partnership between In the Making organization and El Sereno Night Market to create a space to provide opportunities for youth.

There, you can find jewelry, T-shirts, toys, candles, perfumes, and even a thrift shop stall. You can also find tacos, pupusas, pizza, pasta, hamburgers, and Mediterranean, fusion, and vegetarian food. They also screen movies! Keeping in the holiday spirit, this week’s movie will be The Grinch (2018).

This Thursday, December 14, a new food guide ––East LA Moves –– will be distributed during the event. The guide, a joint effort of the Department of Public Works and LA Public Matters, highlights how easy it is to travel by train, bus, bike, or foot to local eateries. Find it in print or online –– it’s also available in English and Spanish.

We will have a booth there, too, where you can find more info about our Low Income Fare is Easy (LIFE) fare discount program, which offers 90 days of free trips on buses and trains and 20 extra trips after that.

We hope to see you there!
