Metro Art commissioned artist Eamon Ore-Giron will give a talk about his art practice and his artwork for the future Wilshire/La Brea Station. He will be joined by Josh Kun, cultural historian, USC Vice Provost for the Arts, and USC Annenberg Professor, who will present on the cultural and architectural history of the Wilshire Corridor and how it relates to Ore-Giron’s design for the station. Following the presentation, Ore-Giron and Kun will lead a short walking tour of four of the historic buildings that inspired the artworks.
Eamon Ore-Giron is one of 27 artists selected to create site-specific, integrated artworks for the Westside Purple Line Extension Project.
