For the last 10 years, we’ve been participating in the Great California ShakeOut earthquake drill –– an annual exercise designed to raise awareness of earthquake safety and encourage us to review emergency procedures and preparedness plans in order to prevent potential harm.

This year, the statewide drill is scheduled for Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 10:19 a.m.

What does that mean for you? If you’re riding one of our buses or trains, the vehicles will stop for 20-30 seconds. (This does NOT include our buses on freeways.) No need to write this all down –– our operators will make a brief customer announcement beforehand.
