How to Ride Metro
Metro A Line’s Chinatown Station is just steps from the park. Union Station is served by the A Line Metro B/D (Red/Purple) Line subway, Metrolink, Amtrak and bus lines run by Metro and other agencies. If you’re taking the E Line into downtown L.A., transfer to the A Line at Little Tokyo/Arts District Station on the same platform.
Metro’s regular fares are $1.75 for a one-way trip with free transfers for two hours. Fares can be paid with TAP cards. TAP cards can be purchased from TAP vending machines at all Metro Rail stations. Riders can also use their smartphones as a TAP card by downloading the TAP app, available in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
