In May, the Gateway Cities Service Council voted to change their meeting time from 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. starting with their July 13 meeting. The Council made this change in hopes that it would make it easier for the public to participate and to make it easier for those Council Members who have day jobs attend the meetings.

As for what they’ll be talking about this month, all Councils will get updates on their region’s service performance and updates on items of interest, and new Council Members will be sworn in at the Gateway Cities meeting. The San Fernando Valley will be going dark (not meet) in July and the other Councils will go dark for August. Other items to be discussed still pending; check the Service Council agendas posted here within 72 hours of the meetings for details. The agendas also list information on how to listen and submit comments at the top, and have links to the presentations.

• Submit an online comment before or during the meeting through the links in the agendas posted online by clicking on “comment” for the item you’d like to comment on. This feature remains active throughout the meeting.
