Metro is commemorating the upcoming Memorial Day holiday with a new TAP card that is now available at Metro Customer Centers and select TAP vending machines.
Memorial Day is a day observed to honor members of America’s military who sacrificed their lives for our country. This day is of utmost importance because we recognize those who fought to protect us.
Originally named Decoration Day and later changed to Memorial Day, the day of recognition was developed after the Civil War and was officially made a federal holiday in 1971. Memorial Day is a day when many people visit the gravesites of lost family members to remember the sacrifices they’ve made for our country and freedom.
Purchase your TAP card at TAP Vending Machines located at the rail or busway stations listed below. Be sure to check the header on top of the TAP machines to ensure the card is available at that machine. Cards are $2 each plus the cost of fare.

I know it is a very easy way to make some profits but ….
Rather than endlessly issuing these special cards, please really consider re-designing the current standard TAP card, which has become very boring.
