Go Metro to CicLAvia: Mid City Meets Pico Union this Sunday, April 16

The forecast Sunday calls for sunny weather and mid-70s temperatures — perfect for this Sunday’s CicLAvia: Mid City meets Pico Union event.

Metro is helping fund the event as part of our Open Streets program to show folks there are other ways to get around our region besides driving — namely walking, biking and rolling.

The Metro Art Bus will also be on the scene, at the Pico Union Hub! Take your selfies, learn how to load a bike onto a Metro bus bike rack and grab some pocket-sized Metro Art goodies while supplies last — including a fun pop-up Metro Art Bus — while you cruise down Venice and Washington. This immersive art experience honors the stories of Metro riders through their portraits created by local artists. Forty-plus portraits are featured on the exterior and interior of the bus.

  1. Would be great to take Metro rail, but with another fatal stabbing on the Blue line in broad daylight, its too risky. METRO NEEDS BETTER SECURITY. Riders need visible presence at each station to keep criminals out!!!!!
