Upcoming community event to learn about proposed walking and biking improvements near the Metro G Line Sepulveda Station

Join us on Saturday, April 8th from 11am – 3pm for a family-friendly, “Spring Egg Hunt” community event at the Delano Recreation Center (15100 Erwin Street, Van Nuys, CA 91411) to learn about biking and walking improvements proposed for the streets near the future, elevated Metro G Line (Orange) Sepulveda Station, and to provide input on which improvements are most-needed on your streets.

Proposed biking and walking improvements are focused on nearby streets such as Sepulveda Bl, Victory Bl, Erwin St and more, and include adding streetlights and trees, as well as possible street design changes, such as bike lanes, crosswalk and sidewalk improvements.

At the event, community members can also participate in activities for the whole family including an egg hunt, arts and crafts, games, and more! If you are participating in the egg hunt, it’s recommended you bring your own basket.

Can’t make the event? No worries! Stay tuned for more opportunities in summer 2023 to provide input and help design a safer, more accessible Sepulveda Station.

Biking and walking improvements to be implemented are funded by a Measure M Metro Active Transport (MAT) Program grant awarded to the City of Los Angeles.

  1. Please consider 2 big items on this project
-The Van Nuys to Westside subway could stop here- figure in good/easy transfers
-The G Line could go Light Rail someday, please consider design for this as well
