Heads up: Hollywood/Highland Station closed this Sunday and three bus lines detoured for A

Due to the Academy Awards, the B (RED) LINE’S Hollywood/Highland Station will be closed on Sunday — as usual to accommodate the event. B Line trains will not stop at the station. 
Hollywood/Highland will reopen for the start of service on Monday morning.
 
On Sunday, please use the Hollywood/Vine Station as an alternative.
 
Bus Lines 212, 217 and 224 will be on detour all day on Sunday. 
Line 212

Northbound: regular route to La Brea Ave. and Fountain Ave. then continue via La Brea Ave. to right on Sunset Blvd., right on Cahuenga Blvd., left on Santa Monica Blvd., left on Vine St., left on Sunset Blvd. to a temporary layover between Vine St and Morningside Ct. after left turn.

Southbound: Depart the temporary layover zone 10 minutes prior to time point listed at La Brea/Sunset via Sunset Blvd., left on La Brea Ave. and then resume regular route.

Line 217

Northbound: Regular route to Hollywood Blvd. and Fuller Ave. then continue via Hollywood Blvd. to right on La Brea Ave., left on Sunset Blvd., left on Vine St., right on Hollywood Blvd. and the. resume the regular route.

Southbound: Regular route to Hollywood Blvd. and Gower St. then continue via Hollywood Blvd. to left on Vine St., right on Sunset Blvd., right on La Brea Ave., left on Sunset Blvd. and resume regular route.

Line 224

Northbound: Regular route to Highland Ave. and Romaine St. then continue via Highland Ave. to right on Santa Monica Blvd., left on Cahuenga Blvd. to Odin St. and regular route.

Southbound: Regular route to Cahuenga Blvd. and Woodrow Wilson Dr. then continue via Cahuenga Blvd.-Highland Ave., left on Odin St. (opposite Hollywood Bowl), right on Cahuenga Blvd. right on Santa Monica Blvd., left on McCadden Pl. and then resume the regular route.

  1. This was incredibly disappointing. Travel to the Academy Awards was next to impossible during the event. How are attendees supposed to use Metro when Metro closes the stations closest to their destination?
