Upcoming enrollment events this month for our LIFE low income fare discounts

The LIFE program is holding events throughout Los Angeles County this month to help riders sign up for our low-income fare program. LIFE offers discounted transit passes or 20 free rides each month to low-income riders. Riders can use LIFE discounts to ride Metro and other participating transit agencies.

  1. There’s no fare enforcement on the system. Bus drivers often let passengers in through the rear door or even the front door for free. I think I’m the only one that taps for the trains (the rare times Im on since all the train lines are such a atrocious mess nowadays).Everyone else just pushes through. Unless there is actual fare enforcement, I wouldn’t even bother signing up for a program like this.

    • Nah I TAP as well. I have respect for the system, but I have almost zero respect for the agency operating it that’s for sure. It’s not the fault of the system itself for the failures it’s endured over the years.

  2. For Sun Feb 19, the address 50001 Obama Blvd is wrong. LA area Bldg numbers don’t go that high. Maybe it’s 5001.
