Go Metro’s K Line to the 38th Annual Kingdom Day Parade on Monday!

The annual Kingdom Day Parade is this Monday at 11 a.m. If you’re going, there’s a new to get there — our K Line train has two stations along the route!

Both our aptly-named Martin Luther King Jr. Station and Leimert Park Station are just steps from the parade. The K Line is easily reached via the E (Expo) Line’s Expo/Crenshaw Station. From the E Line, cross Exposition Boulevard and then down the escalator to the K Line’s underground Expo/Crenshaw Station.

Metro Board Member Jacquelyne Dupont-Walker will again be on our replica bus this year.

As usual, our replica Rosa Parks bus will be in the parade and Metro will have an information booth where you can learn how to ride, and all about Metro’s ongoing projects and programs.

Regular Metro fares are $1.75 for a one-way trip and include two hours of free transfers. Fares are paid with TAP cards, which are available for $2 at TAP Vending Machines at all Metro Rail stations. We recommend purchasing round-trip fare in advance to avoid waits at TAP machines after the game.
