Metro’s Service Planning Department would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year! Service Council meetings will resume this month, except for the San Fernando Valley Council. All Councils will hear updates on the LIFE Program, Metro’s hiring progress, and the usual regional updates. The Westside Central Council will hear about a new DASH North Hollywood service, and the South Bay Service Council will hear about new DASH San Pedro service. South Bay will also discuss a new location for in-person meetings, which will resume in the near future.
On a related Service Council note, the Service Council’s bylaws state that all Councils will meet on a quarterly basis with the CEO and other Metro executive staff for a meeting otherwise known as the Meet & Confer. The next Meet & Confer will be held on January 10 at 3:00 p.m. In addition to meeting with CEO Stephanie Wiggins, the Councils will also hear an update on Public Safety with the Chief Safety Officer Gina Osborn. The meeting will be held on Zoom; meeting information listed below.
