Veterans Day is Friday, November 11, honoring the men and women who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. Here is the VA’s web page on this year’s holiday. Metro is currently building a new station for the Purple (D Line) Extension in front of the West LA VA Medical Center. Here’s a Source post from last summer on the future artwork for that station.
November also celebrates the rich and diverse cultures, history and contributions of Native Americans. Here’s a presidential proclamation on the importance of this month.
TAP is commemorating both events with new TAP cards that are now available at Metro Customer Centers. Use your TAP card to travel on Metro and 25 additional transit agencies throughout L.A. County. Both cards are $2 and available while supplies last.
