Work to upgrade the C Line (Green) signaling system will take place this weekend, requiring full track closure and bus shuttles between Long Beach Boulevard and Norwalk Station. While crews perform the work, the following service changes will be in effect:
Beginning Friday, August 26 after 9 p.m. through Sunday, August 28 close of service, the last stop for all eastbound trains will be Long Beach Blvd Station. Customers that need to reach Lakewood or Norwalk must board free Metro Green Line Shuttles in order to do so.
Train service will continue westbound from Long Beach Blvd to Redondo Beach Station. C Line trains are slated to arrive every 15 minutes during the day and every 20 minutes at night throughout the weekend.
Regular service to all stations will resume Monday, August 29. For more transit news and real-time service updates, follow us on Twitter at @metrolosangeles or @metrolaalerts.
