Service Advisory: buses replace L Line (Gold) service between Arcadia and Irwindale this Sunday

This Sunday, July 31 from start of service to 6 p.m., there will be no trains running between Arcadia and Irwindale Station due to Southern California Edison utility work.

Bus shuttles will replace trains between Arcadia and Irwindale while the work is in effect. This means all southbound trains will travel to Irwindale and turn back towards APU/Citrus College Station. All northbound trains will travel as far as Arcadia and turn back towards Union Station.

L Line (Gold) trains are scheduled to run every 12 minutes and buses will match the train schedule as best as possible. Please allow extra travel time to transfer between buses and trains. Regular service resumes after 6 p.m. on Sunday. For the latest service updates, follow us on Twitter @metrolaalerts.

  1. There wasn’t any announcement, but the trains had three cars for the duration of the closure.

  2. Not related, but I never heard if Metro was going to increase frequency on the L line during the 210 freeway work. In fact, we never saw any news on the 210 work and its effects posted on The Source. Since another closure is coming next month (?) it would be good to remind us all here on The Source about these closures and how Metro can or will respond with increased service, if applicable. We certainly hope so. Thanks
