New limited edition “Art on TAP” cards featuring artworks commissioned by Metro Art are launching at select stations this week. The three new artwork designs are Blue Sights by LP Ǽkili Ross, Roosters by Daniel Barajas and Legacy by Bodeck Luna.
The artworks are part of a series of rider portraits created by local artists. The portraits evoke intimate and universal stories of those who use our transit system. The inaugural series of 12 portraits are featured on digital screens installed at each of the A Line (Blue) stations and in the Union Station Passageway Art Gallery.
The limited edition Art on TAP cards are now available at TAP vending machines at the stations listed below. Be sure to check the header above the TVM screens before purchase to see which cards are in stock. Not all stations have each design. Cards are $2 plus the cost of fare. Available while supplies last.

These are wonderul! Perfectly reflects LA!
I hope these are well stocked everywhere. The joy of public transportation is that it’s a community space where EVERYONE is welcome.
Love it!!!
Love how collectible these are becoming for me!
What an amazing roster of artists for these upcoming tap cards!
How exciting, love the artwork!
Beautiful vibrance in these, esp the Mother and Child!
Looks so good!!!!
I like to collect the special TAP cards. However, Metro is very lax in making sure its TAP vending machines have the card stocked. I’ve tried three times to purchases the Angels Flight TAP card the Expo Line, 17th Street Station at the specific TAP vending machine which advertised it was selling the Angels Flight card. One attempt took my money, but no card of any type. My other two attempts took my money, but gave the the standard TAP card, of which I have too many. This seems to be typical for Metro operations: up front excitement, but no follow through to make sure what they advertise is delivered.
Hi m399y;
Sorry you had trouble purchasing the Angel’s Flight TAP card. A team member will reach out to you directly via email.
