Service Advisory: buses replace C Line (Green) service between Long Beach Bl and Norwalk this weekend

Rail service on the C Line (Green) will be suspended between Long Beach Bl and Norwalk Station due to signal system upgrades starting 11 p.m. Friday, June 10 through Sunday, June 12 close of service.

While the work is in effect Lakewood and Norwalk Station will be closed. Bus shuttles will provide service between Long Beach Bl and Norwalk, matching train service as best as possible.

Metro staff will be on site and able to provide assistance at all stations affected. Please allow extra travel time to complete your commute.

Regular service resumes Monday, June 13. Thank you for your patience as Metro continues to work towards improving your ride.

  1. The MTA has been doing Signal upgrade for approx. a year now. Is the system that inferior that its not an upgrade but a entire new system. Henry Huntington was be laughing in his grave. Just another example of the incompetence that reigns at the MTA. Perhaps a trip down to the MTA library to see how professionals did it in the past in less time and better long term results. Being 77 years old I don’t recall the Pacific Electric or the Los Angeles Transit Lines ever shutting down service for maintenance. And if one looks around there are still remnants of the great transit service we once had.
