Primary elections are being held on June 7 — and Metro will be offering free rides from midnight until 11:59 p.m. on June 7, as is our custom on Election Day.
There is also a voting center next to Station El Monte and in the lobby of Metro headquarters next to Union Station for those who want to cast a vote in person (more info at the L.A. County Registrar website). The hours at both centers on Monday, June 6, are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and the voting centers are open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7. A mobile vote center will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, June 6, at the J (Silver) Line’s Manchester Station.
Those of you who are registered to vote will receive a vote-by-mail ballot, which you’ll be able to return at any ballot drop-off box, including the ones installed at Metro stations listed below.
The drop boxes will be accessible to the public beginning May 5 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7. The drop off boxes are located at:
•Union Station (East Portal)
•El Monte Bus Station J Line, many local bus lines (plaza area)
•Harbor Freeway Station C and J Lines (park and ride area)
•Harbor Gateway Transit Center J Line, many other local lines (transit plaza area)
•Hollywood/Western Station B (Red) Line, (mezzanine area)
•North Hollywood Station B (Red) Line, (plaza area outside portal)
•Norwalk Station C Line, (plaza area)
•Wilshire/Vermont Station B (Red) and D (Purple) Lines, (courtyard area)
