As mentioned earlier, one of the South Bay Service Council Members submitted her resignation effective in January. The South Bay Council of Governments (COG) has started the search for a replacement candidate. Service Council members serve three-year terms with no term limits. Annually, three of the seats on each Council expire on June 30. The COG is planning to fill the term of the departing Councilmember along with the usually annual nomination process for the three expiring seats which have a term of July 1, 2022 – June 30, 2025.
If you’re interested in serving on the South Bay Service Council, submit a short bio and short explanation as to why you should be selected to Jacki Bacharach, Executive Director of the South Bay Cities Council of Governments at email@example.com. The COG has not yet set a deadline, but usually accepts applications through mid-March to allow time for the candidates to be interviewed before making their selection. For more information, contact the COG at the email above or by phone at 310-293-2612.
