If you are 21 years old or older and interested in becoming a Metro bus operator with great benefits and flexible working hours, don’t miss the agency’s one-day hiring event on Saturday, December 11, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Metro Training Facility at 470 Bauchet Street in Los Angeles.
There are more than 300 bus operator positions available. Metro offers a $3,000 sign-on bonus (terms and conditions apply), great hourly pay and full benefits, such as:
•Start at $17.75 per hour and earn $19.12 per hour after six months with incremental pay rate increases up to $27.31 per hour.
•Up to 30 hours a week of work.
•Health insurance.
•Tuition reimbursements.
•Paid trainings.
•Retirement plan options
To make this process easier for potential operator candidates, Metro will conduct same day interviews, Bus Operator Candidate Assessment Testing (BOCAT) and fingerprinting and full-physicals at the same location.
Prospective candidates should bring the following three items to the hiring event:
•Driver License (must be 21 years of age).
•K4 driving record dated 30 days (obtainable from DMV office, DMV kiosk and online).
•Professional resume.
Candidates should also wear closed-toe shoes.
