COVID-19 vaccination sites at Metro transit stations

It has never been easier to get vaccinated to protect yourself and those around you from COVID-19. With a clinic opening today (Tuesday, June 8) at Union Station, Metro now has vaccination sites at five easy-to-reach transit stations.

Metro’s official app Transit can also help you book vaccination appointments and plan your trip. As a reminder, face masks are required when riding Metro, and Metro has installed mask dispensers on our buses, trains and in rail stations for those who need one. Even if you have been vaccinated, please continue to wear a mask on transit to protect yourself and others.

The five vaccination sites are:

Union Station
800 N Alameda Street
Los Angeles, CA 90012

  • Open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. in the Union Station East portal at the top of the escalator — next to the Patsaouras Plaza.
  • Book an appointment at https://carbonhealth.com/covid-19-vaccines/los-angeles. Walk-ups also welcome.
  • Moderna and the one-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine will be available to everyone 18 years and older. The Pfizer vaccine will be available to everyone 12 years and older (children require a parent or guardian present).
  • Vaccines are free, and no insurance or citizenship documentation is required.
  • Easy access via Metro’s B/D Lines (Red/Purple), L Line (Gold), J Line (Silver), many local bus lines, Metrolink, Amtrak and private transportation options.
  • COVID-19 testing is also offered at Union Station, no appointment required.

El Monte Bus Station

  • Open Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from noon to 7 p.m.
  • Book an appointment at vaccine.fulgentgenetics.com. Walk-ups also welcome.
  • Use promo code VAXELMONTE to receive free Metro Micro rides to and from the vaccination site. Riders will get up to four free rides in the El Monte service zone to receive two vaccination doses.
  • Both the Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson vaccines will be available at the El Monte Station site. Pfizer is available to everyone 12 years and older (children require a parent or guardian present). Johnson & Johnson is available to everyone 18 years and older.
  • Vaccines are free, and no insurance or citizenship documentation is required.
